2005年煤矿[wiki]安全[/wiki]生产情况全国煤矿企业共发生伤亡事故3341起，死亡5986人，同比减少300起、41人，分别下降8.2%和0.7%。百万吨死亡率为2.836，同比减少0.245，下降7.9%。其中一次死亡3－9人重大事故210起，死亡886人，同比减少39起、204人，分别下降15.7%和18.7%。全国18个产煤地区百万吨死亡率同比下降。
全国煤矿企业共发生重特大以上事故279起，死亡3586人，分别占总数的8%和60%。其中：发生一次死亡10人以上特大事故58起，死亡1739人，同比增加15起，增加695人，分别上升34.9%和66.6%。发生一次死亡30人以上特别重大事故11起，死亡961人，同比增加3起，增加438人，分别上升37.5%和83.7%。其中国有重点煤矿发生3起，死亡419人，同比增加1起，增加105人。即辽宁省阜新矿业集团孙家湾煤矿海州立井“2。14”特别重大瓦斯爆炸事故，死亡214人，是新中国成立以来发生的第二起大事故。黑龙江龙煤集团七台河分公司东风煤矿“11。27”特别重大煤尘爆炸事故，死亡171人。河南鹤壁煤业集团二矿“10。3”特别重大瓦斯爆炸事故，死亡34人。
全国煤矿发生瓦斯事故405起，死亡2157人，同比减少28起，增加178人，瓦斯事故起数和死亡人数分别占煤矿事故总数的12%和36%，死亡人数居各类煤矿事故首位。其中国有重点煤矿发生18起，死亡504人，国有地方煤矿发生40起，死亡120人；乡镇个体煤矿发生347起，死亡1533人，占煤矿瓦斯事故和死亡人数的86%和71%，是瓦斯事故和伤亡的主体。其中，发生一次死亡3－9人以上事故118起，死亡514人，发生一次死亡10人以上事故40起，死亡1319人。 2006年煤矿安全生产情况
煤矿事故死亡4746人，实现了历史性的突破。煤矿百万吨死亡率为2.041，达到了历史最好水平。
全国煤矿共发生瓦斯事故327起，死亡1319人，同比减少87起、852人，分别下降21.0%和39.2%。其中发生一次死亡10人以上特大瓦斯事故26起，死亡490人，同比减少15起、841人，分别下降36.6%和63.2%。
2007年煤矿安全生产情况
全国煤矿事故死亡人数２００７年、２００６年分别同比下降２０.２％和２０.１％。２００７年全国煤矿事故死亡人数降至３７８６人。
2007年，全国煤矿事故起数和死亡人数同比分别下降17.8%和20.2%。其中重特大事故起数和死亡人数，同比分别下降28.2%和23.0%。
